NEWS & UPDATES
In conjunction with the West Lothian Association of Youth Football Clubs, Blackburn United are delighted to be hosting the inaugural West Lothian U13’s Summer Cup this Saturday, 18th August.
Starting at 9:00am and comprising of 24 teams split into four groups, there will be 63 games taking place across the four pitches of the Dem-master Community Stadium complex with the A and B group finals scheduled to take place at 4:40pm and 1:35pm respectively. The Blackburn United boys find themselves in a tough group and face Armadale Athletic in their first game at 2:10pm.
If you’re not travelling down to Tweedmouth to support the senior side then why not get along to cheer them on?
Scotland Under-16s travel to St George’s Park for an international friendly double header against England and Turkey at the end of August and manager Billy Stark has named two players in his twenty one man squad who began their careers in the United Community Club set-up, Jay Charleston-King who is now at Hearts and Jayden Fairlie who is now with the Hibs Youth Academy. First up for the Scots are England on Monday 20th August at 3pm followed by the Turks on Wednesday, 22nd August at 1pm. I'm sure everyone will wish Jay and Jayden and the rest of the squad the very best of luck.
